PRIVACY NOTICE · SEPTEMBER 10, 2026

Useful participation. Reader control.

OMIKINA is public and readable without an account. Optional accounts support Pulse, comments, replies, and a public community profile.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics.” OMIKINA uses aggregate page, search, reading, sharing, and conversion events to improve the publication. Search measurement records query length and result counts, without sending the words you type. Page measurement excludes arbitrary query parameters and fragments; bounded campaign labels are retained for attribution. Google Signals and ad-personalization signals remain disabled in this analytics configuration.

Optional community accounts

Firebase Authentication handles sign-in credentials. OMIKINA stores a public display name, optional avatar, server-maintained activity counts, and the comments and Pulse actions you choose to publish. Email addresses, reports, rate-limit records, and moderation metadata are not exposed in public community responses.

On-device reader tools

Saved stories, pinned topics, previous-visit time, checklist progress, and your analytics choice remain stored in your browser. OMIKINA does not receive those local lists or progress through these tools.

Email briefing list

When you join the OMIKINA briefing, the site stores your email address, subscription status, consent time and version, signup placement, page path, and any campaign tags attached to that visit in private Firebase records. A one-way network identifier is retained briefly to limit automated abuse; the raw address is not stored in that rate-limit record. OMIKINA uses the subscriber record only to administer and deliver the briefing you requested.

Advertising and affiliate disclosure

OMIKINA includes the Google AdSense account-level script. Loading that script makes a request to Google even when no advertisement is displayed. AdSense approval and ad delivery are separate from the presence of the script. Manual ad placements remain disabled while publisher readiness is being addressed.

Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, and page information to provide, measure, personalize, and protect advertising services, subject to applicable consent choices. OMIKINA has published a European regulations consent message through Google Privacy & messaging. The Google message, when presented, provides the advertising choices for that experience; choosing “Allow analytics” in OMIKINA’s separate analytics control does not grant advertising consent.

Any shop link that can earn OMIKINA a commission will say so before the click; commercial relationships do not buy editorial ranking or coverage.

No data sale

OMIKINA does not sell reader personal information or create its own advertising profiles. Direct email links still open the reader’s own mail app and are handled through info@omikina.com.

Your controls

You can change analytics consent, clear local reader data, edit your public community profile, delete your own comments, or request newsletter removal. For subscription, account-deletion, or privacy requests, contact info@omikina.com.
